Lech ski hotels and holiday packages
So tell me about it...
As one of Austria’s first class resorts, the internationally famous Lech lies high up in the Arlberg valley, a picturesque village dominated by a 14th century church spire and river.
Slopes are easily accessible from the village centre, where flattering blue and red runs link to scenic Oberlech and good intermediates can join a circuit to Zürs.
The ski pistes, ski routes and open slopes are spread between 1450 and 2800 metres above sea level. With 84 cable cars and lifts, 260 km of well tended pistes and 180 km of open slopes, there is plenty of variety for every skier. Beginners have the choice of the gentle nursery slopes near to the slopes. Experts have a vast selection of off piste trails with guided tours, off piste and heli-skiing is also available.
The village offers everything you could want from a winter sports holiday - including high quality hotels, fine dining and great après ski. Lech is full of international flavour, attracting a wide scope of visitors from all over the world. The 'Arlberg Ski Circus' lift pass covers the resorts of Lech, Zürs, Zug, Stuben, St. Anton, Sonnenkopf and St. Christoph.

Begginers
Best in Lech is the Flühen lift next to the old church where there is T-bar and ideal beginner terrain for skiers and snowboarders. After a couple of days here, beginners in ski school then progress to Oberlech and easy blue runs like Weibermahd.
Intermediates
Tremendous terrain for the intermediate skier. Countless opportunities open up from Lech via the central Schlegelkopf or Schlosskopf lifts. From the other side of Lech centre you can access the slopes of Zürs via the Rufikopf lift. With its amazing ski-in/ski-out location these areas offer a huge variety of blue and red runs.
Experts
The Arlberg ski area is great for advanced skiers with 50% of the piste dedicated to this ability and 'The White Circuit' is by far one of the most popular advanced routes with a race taking place every year. A 22km round route taking in Zurs and a challenging ski route descent to Zug before finishing back in Lech. Off piste skiers will adore this resort with it's challenging open powder terrain being one of the main attractions, you'll be able to enjoy the marked off piste runs on your own .
Snowboarders
The Schlegelkopf-Hang is the home of the 'Boarderland Lech', an ambitiously constructed slope paradise for snowboarders. The terrain offers opportunities to train and to show off with 1.2km of pipes, jumps and slides.
Entertainment
The après ski in Lech is world famous and many staying in Zürs venture out to sample some of the atmosphere. The Tannbergerhof is a great place to spend the night dancing away to oompah music, alternatively there are the two hotels Burg and Sonnenburg, which attract mixed crowds for teatime. The fancy Hotel Krone sees the well-dressed clientele as well as the Hotel Arlberg, both with some great discos.
Gourmet & nightlife
There is an appetizing amount of dining to be enjoyed in Lech. Numerous restaurants with a variety of cuisine include Achtele, Gasthof Alpenblick and Revier for regional delicacies, Italiener, Don Enzo Due and Charly's for Italian food and for something different try Fux for delectable Asian cooking, and even some jazz in the evenings.
Extras
In the general area, including Lech, it is possible to go snowshoeing, sledding, hiking, ice skating and even play tennis or squash.
